Wellness & Medical Care

Living up to her philosophy of providing preventive veterinary care to patients in order to avoid discomfort, pain, illness and disease, Dr. Eckermann performs a comprehensive, species-specific, physical examination of your pet. She is educated, trained and skilled in the assessment of your animal's body systems:

  • blood (hematology)
  • bones, connective tissue, joints, ligaments and tendons (orthopedics)
  • eyes (ophthalmology)
  • heart, arteries and veins (cardiovascular)
  • skin and allergies (dermatology)
  • teeth, gums and jaw (dentistry)

Appropriate vaccinations, laboratory tests and medications to prevent disease may then be recommended. Should Dr. Eckermann's diagnosis of your pet indicate further medical intervention is desirable, she provides you with the information to understand her findings and the time to discuss your animal's condition.
