A trusted cornerstone of the community for more than forty years, Harlan Veterinary Associates enters a new era under the direction of Dr. Michele Eckermann: Having partnered with Dr. Bruce Havick for nine years, Dr. Eckermann assumed sole responsibility for the practice in 2006.

At a time of acquisitions and consolidations of veterinary hospitals, how a veterinarian chooses to practice makes a powerful statement about his or her view of the world and human interactions. Michele Eckermann made the choice to use her professional skills to maintain the very personal, compassionate, human-to-animal-to-human bonds in which she believes by working one-on-one with her patients and clients at Harlan.

As a full-service, small animal medical practice, birds, cats, dogs, ferrets, 'pocket pets' (gerbils, guinea pigs, hamsters) and reptiles are welcomed.
